I guess 100yi could do what has already been done 100,000 times which is analyze the All Star Game as a whole but since this is a Cubs Blog Site, Ill stick to the Cubs. I don’t want to openly question most of the selections, but as a Cubs fan I continue to get pounded on being an obnoxious, dillusional idiot who blindly voted in all of the Cubs because I am a “Homer”
Much has been made of our eight “All Star” selections and questioned the validity of each players achievements and whether or not they desrve to be there. So as a responsible Cubs fan, I will try to ease some tensions for all of the other fans in the world who constantly rail Cubs fans as hopeless homers and as such – I will emphatically state the following
DESERVE TO BE THERE NO QUESTIONS ASKED
WONT PLAY ANYWAYS
PROOF THAT FAN VOTING NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT
SHOULD BE IN AAA AFTER HIS LAST OUTING
So, in reality the Cubs have eight players at the All Star Game, but only three All Stars. Sorry for the impassionate story, but the All Star game doesn’t get us any closer to our magic number.
I will be rooting for the NL, becuase certain teams have been very dominant at home. Not naming names or being a homer…i’m just pointing out the numbers.
