Ninth Straight Series Win Already Guaranteed

Carlos Zambrano did his best to give the game away last night. So to did Neal Cotts. But Geovany Soto was having none of it. A pair of three run doubles and seven RBIs propelled the Cubs to a 14-9 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

This is a late review, and believe me, I know you know everything that happened in the game. We just need to mention the nervousness of the game last night caused us to drink a few more beers than normal. This extra few beers inhibited our review writing abilities. Man, I need some help at this site!

Now, I get up to find that the opening pitch of the third game is at 9.35 am! It seems like I just got up out of my chair a few minutes ago! I’ll keep it up….it seems to be helping the Cubs win series. Anyways – I need to do the preview….so I will stop being Tim McCarver and telling you obvious things.
