Astros v. Cubs Game Review / Preview

Okay, we wont pretend the three losses in a row didnt happen. We just have no real reason here at 100 Year Itch to highlight it..let alone headline it. we know that the trolls are out there….bringing up September pasts and all of the bullshit that comes along with it….again – a loss is not something to dwell on. I dont have to go through the entire seasons slate of game to tell you that the Cubs are not the only team to lose three in a row at home…but I can also tell you it took nearly an entire year for it to happen twice at Wrigley….again, this is something that any fan, any team, any manager, any organization would take.

Besdies…Roy Oswalt was dealing…the Cubs never had a chance to get to the Astros bullpen yesterday…You gotta get the pitch count higher than 83 through seven….the Cubs clearly were not as patient as in days past. 3-o shut out to the Astros….tip of the cap to Oswalt.

Todays game features the early troll call feature from ESPN ..this from a Astros fan…

This should be a relatively easy “W” for the ‘Stros today in this matchup of teams who are going in opposite directions.

Astros -8
Cubs – 2 (with 1 xtra base hit)

Funny shit indeed. On to the matchups…

We arent in a position to talk shit due to the three game losing streak….but looking at RBIs only that were given up by the two pitchers…the Cubs have 15 v. Backe, the Astros 5 v. Zambrano….maybe the cure for what ails the Cubs.

Game time 705 CST….big chat coming later….enjoy your day boys….see you tonight
